Poised & Refined. A beautifully poised, cabernet sauvignon with medium-body and good generosity of flavour. Skillfully crafted with perfect ripeness, refinement and balance. The oak is subtle and harmonious. I adore its elegance and its integrity. Drinking well now though will continue to develop over time. Highly recommended

Selecting fruit from the Margaret River and utilising the skills of an award winning winemaker Ed Tomlinson means you are onto a winner.

This is a traditional, Margaret River Cabernet,  that showcases red fruits with a hint of creamy vanilla on the nose.

2015 was a mild, dry vintage with the resulting Cabernet having an elegant and medium bodied profile. This wine has lifted aromatics of red fruits, oak spice and varietal leafiness.

The medium bodied palate has a good concentration of flavour. Soft, integrated tannin allows for accessibility upon release or medium term cellaring with confidence.

THE MARGARET RIVER REGION

Awareness, proper consideration and sense of place are key attributes to the region's success. McLaren Vale best for Shiraz, the region also excels in the production of ultra-premium Grenache and Cabernet.

Both the sun's warmth and the reliable salty afternoon gully breeze make the climate closer to Mediterranean than many other Aussie regions. Fiano, Vermentino, Tempranillo and Sangiovese are also very well suited to the climate of the McLaren Vale Region.
