Musically the 90s was the era of mainstream evolution for many genres that had previously been underground! Grunge ruled the early 90s in a hangover from the 80s, but we started to see the development of the MTV Generation with the popularisation of the likes of Cool Britannia or Euro Pop,
Rap and Hip Hop, Contemporary R&B, Pop and later, in the 90s, the mainstream of house music as we know it today!

The music of the 90s shaped today’s radio airwaves, and the likes of today’s “celebrity” obsession began to the mainstream in the 90s. For the first time in years, music from different classes, cultures and subcultures blazed the airways and youth fashion shaped the subcultures often of their favourite music stars!
